· Received patients from Intensive Care Unit after cardiac surgery.

· Took complete vitals, assess drain and incision site, attach monitor if necessary.

· Checked vital signs on monitor; BP, HR, ECG, CVP, Spo2.

· Filled in the pre-op checklist and ensured that standard safety measures have been

followed before the patient is transferred to the operating theatre.

· Assisted to Complete all needed investigations such as ECG, Echo, CXR and a blood test, including coagulation.

· General hygiene: advised the patient to have a good shower the day before surgery to

minimize post-op infection.

· Checked payment status and gave directions to patient party to collect necessary

equipment, medicines and blood product as ordered.
