Duties:

• Platoon Sergeant in direct support of Field Artillery Platoon; responsible for the welfare, training, and proficiency of Soldiers during combat and non-combat operations and tactics.
• Responsible for leadership training, mentoring, and evaluating NCOs; mentors the Platoon Leader in the planning, preparation, and execution of collective training in support of the Battalion's full spectrum operation.
• Supervises platoon operations and maintenance of all assigned platoon equipment valued in excess of $20,000,000 during garrison and deployment operations.
• Directly responsible for the morale, welfare, discipline, and accountability of 44 personnel; trained platoon on METL and non-traditional tasks.
• Increased and maintained proficiency on platoon Howitzers, Field Artillery battle drills, and assigned personal weapons.
• Deals with people persuasively, tactfully and resourcefully in a professional manner.
• Successfully managed, supervised training and welfare of 1,500 Soldiers of an Advanced Individual Training Field Artillery unit during a three-year period as Senior Instructor: greatly enhancing the Army's mission readiness and combat effectiveness.
• Served as Battalion Ammunitions Non-Commissioned Officer in direct support of two Field Artillery Battalions; responsible for the logistical planning and distribution of all ammunition supplies and equipment valued at over $ 10, 000, 000.00.
