I acquire strong management skills developed from working as a team leader at Ibrahim boutique. This hands-on experience taught me the importance of leading my team through tough ventures such as the pandemic and effectively delegating tasks. This led to a significant increase in our revenues while also balancing my studies. Working at Ikea, I have been equipped with strong sales skills by partaking in advanced training on customer interaction, product knowledge and sales strategies. I have developed a keen understanding on how to sell products and offering tailored solutions that enhance shopping experience for customers driving sales. Constantly working in fast paced environments has taught me the importance of not only leading a team but also working collaboratively and communicating effectively with those around me.
During my time at Mclarens, I was able to see what a day looks like as a loss adjuster. I was lucky enough to participate in a claims meeting and voice my opinions on matters at hand, widening my understanding of what loss adjusting is.
While at HDI, i have developed a deeper understanding of the insurance industry. My time at HDI consisted of shadowing the aerospace and aviation team, attending an innovation meeting with the claims team and understanding the systems used to price premiums.
The futures academy has been incredibly beneficial in getting a true insight to the London insurance market. I gained various skills from networking to presentation skills. During my placement, I participated in many activities such as pitching a new product to seniors within the insurance market.
