Israel Kagya

As a pastor, I have had the privilege of leading a vibrant and growing congregation at Liwale and in the big city of Ilala Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. With various initiatives that have significantly impacted the spiritual and structural growth of our church community.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my ministry has been facilitating the baptism of 534 new church members, guiding them through the process of confession, conversion, and commitment to a life of discipleship.

In addition to shepherding souls into the body of Christ, I have played a central role in the development and expansion of our church infrastructure. Serving as a visionary leader, I have spearheaded church-building projects aimed at creating spaces conducive to worship, fellowship, and community outreach.

Through effective planning, fundraising efforts, and collaboration with church stakeholders, we have completed 12 construction projects, providing our congregation with modern and welcoming facilities to gather and worship.

Furthermore, I have been deeply committed to nurturing a culture of stewardship and generosity within our church community. By fostering an environment of spiritual growth and discipleship, I have witnessed a significant increase in the faithfulness of our members in returning tithes and offerings.

Through intentional teaching, pastoral guidance, and cultivating a spirit of gratitude, we have seen a remarkable rise in financial stewardship, enabling us to further support local and global mission endeavors.

Beyond my pastoral responsibilities, I am also an avid enthusiast of various hobbies that enrich my life and ministry.

Music holds a special place in my heart, and I often find solace and inspiration through worship songs and hymns. Whether leading congregational singing or playing musical instruments, I believe that music has the power to uplift spirits and draw people closer to God.

In addition to my musical pursuits, I am also a fervent advocate for physical fitness and recreation. I enjoy engaging in friendly basketball games with members of the church community, recognizing the importance of maintaining a healthy body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is the cornerstone of my spiritual life and ministry. I am devoted to cultivating a vibrant prayer life, seeking communion with God and interceding on behalf of others. Through prayer, I find strength, guidance, and intimacy with the Divine.

Furthermore, I have a passion for the dramatic arts and acting. Whether participating in church skits, dramas, or theatrical productions, I believe in the power of storytelling to convey biblical truths and engage hearts and minds in a meaningful way.

In May 2022, I was ordained as a pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, marking a significant milestone in my journey of ministry and service. This ordination ceremony was a sacred and solemn occasion, symbolizing the church's recognition of my calling and commissioning me to fulfill the responsibilities of pastoral leadership within the Adventist community.
