Israel Rico

Working as an unpaid student intern at Kinkeade Early Childhood School through the education program at my high school. I help the teacher in the classroom by working with students in small groups, and independently. My teacher has told me and others that I have become an integral part of the station, encourages students, and handles inappropriate behavior super well. Not only do I help out the students, but I also help out the teacher by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and organizing supplies that will be needed for the class throughout the day. I have also helped the teacher plan lessons, utilizing various teaching strategies, including hands-on activities and technology integration.
