  • As an Equipment Associate, we are responsible for washing the machines that are ready to be rented out, make sure they're filled with the correct fuel and we are responsible for loading/unloading the equipments on the haulers
  • We work with manlifts that go up from 40 feet to 180 feet up in the air, from electric and rough terrain scissors that go from 10 feet to 60 feet in the air and we operate forklifts from warehouse to reach forklifts that range from 5k to 40k tons of weight
  • There is a constant workflow from the equipment associates to the mechanics to meet our guidelines to have the equipment ready for rent

  • Being polite, courteous and respectful is the main demand for this position to handle requests/complaints from customers
  • We are to write contracts, beginning with the person's full name, phone number, email and his company
  • From there, we take control of the conversation and we start asking what type of equipment they need from forklifts, scissor-lifts, atrium's or man-lifts and where is their job site located; whether it's indoor or outdoor is crucial because working conditions are often overlooked
  • Lastly, we are to ask for the on-site contact for the delivery and any specific instructions for our driver to drop-off their unit for their rental
  • I also handled service requests from where units are to be dropped off
  • There are a lot of in-between of this position from replying to emails, responding to service calls for when a machine breaks down, checking in with sales representatives to confirm rates and our key account customers

  • We signed in via headset to begin the order selecting process while we walk towards our Barrett which can either hold 1 pallet or 2 pallet to begin our order selecting
  • The warehouse is enormous and the Barrett is necessary to meet the time limit period given to every single order
  • You need to learn how to build a strong base to avoid parts being crushed and tumbling over because some orders can go up to 12 feet high and proper palletize building is essential

  • I started off as a picker, similar to the job I described with Duncan Bolt, but we just picked the parts and sent them to one of the two departments responsible for handling them
  • After a year, I was relocated to the internet department where they packed and shipped the orders globally
  • I have been a shipper for 2 years and it is my job and duty to ensure that the product doesn't get lost, destroyed or lost on it's destination to our customer
  • There is no room for error and no room for laziness
  • I take pride in my work, and I whole-heartedly believe my work is an example of the type of person I am

  • Using computers to organize, add/remove items and print out work orders
  • I was able to complete all my work alone with success due to having experience using the forklift
  • I had to individually do the smaller work orders (50 and under) and I would also pull the bigger orders of 100+ for the workers on the long table to build
  • Pulling the bigger orders for the long table requires getting a pallet and collecting all the items listed in the order
  • The puller has to also count the pieces by using a scale and then put it in a box to make work easier and more efficient
  • I was also responsible for doing the sample orders for our partner, PRO COMP
