As a dialysis nurse I'm in charge of the pre-during and post-treatment evaluation of patients, medication administration, admissions, discharge, care plans, emergency management, laboratory monitoring, cannulation protocols, education of patients and families among other things. Assisted in the training and mentorship of new nursing staff members, contributing to a positive work environment and high-quality patient care. Reduced hospital readmissions through effective discharge planning, patient education, and follow-up care coordination. Collaborated with physicians to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions.

As a charge nurse in my clinic, I was responsible for supervising of nurses and technicians performance, taking and modifying medical orders, monitoring labs, census, preparation and administration of medications, admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-during-post assessments, home medication reconciliation, vaccinations, care plans, cannulation protocols, monitoring of water tanks, audits, preceptor, emergency management, patient and family education among many other things. Reduced medication errors by establishing stringent medication administration procedures. Promoted a safe working environment by adhering to infection control policies and regularly reviewing safety protocols.

As a charge nurse I was responsible for making the schedule for staff and patients each day, census, monitoring of labs, performance supervision of nurses and technicians, cannulation protocols, cannulation of new accesses, preceptor, admissions, discharges, transfers, emergency management, taking and changing medical orders, making rounds with doctors, care plans, home medication reconciliation among other things. Implemented quality improvement initiatives aimed at reducing errors, improving workflow efficiency, and enhancing overall patient satisfaction levels. Maintained a positive, patient-centered culture by modeling exceptional nursing care and reinforcing the value of empathy, compassion, and professionalism among team members.

As a staff nurse I was responsible of the machines setup and preparation for patients treatments, pre-during and post assessments, vital signs monitoring every 30 min, preparation and administration of medications, monthly notes, labs, access flow, patient and family education. Increased patient safety by adhering to strict infection control protocols throughout the entire dialysis process. Reduced complications by accurately assessing patients'' needs and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.

As a graduate nurse, working in a Hospital setting I was able to rotate to all the floors in the Hospital (ER, Med/Surg, Telemetry, Intensive, OR) and I was able to learn and perform tasks such as advanced cannulation, nasogastric tube insertion, Foley catheter insertion, CPR performance, suture removal, blood & derivatives transfusion administration, preparation and administration of medication via intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal, enteral and parenteral nutrition, wound care, admissions, discharges and transfer process, rapid response in emergency situations, assistance in intubation and/or emergency procedures, among other things. Managed care from admission to discharge. Collaborated with physicians to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions.
