I have dog-sat for multiple people in the past and occasionally still do so.
I started babysitting around 7th grade and still do so.
I overlooked 12-20 kids depending on the day. We played, and did various activities. The kids ages ranged form 2 to 12
I spent a day shadowing Dr. Bors-Koefoed (BK) at Midsouth Maternal Fetal Medicine. They specialized in high-risk pregnancies and I learned a lot about why certain pregnancies were high risk. I learned how to read an ultrasound and watched ultrasounds being performed. It was a wonderful experience.
I shadowed Shannon McCalla, RN, at Regional One Health on July 21st, 2023. Regional one has three ICUs because they are a trauma center. I observed the GICU, which is for medical and trauma patients. I witnessed the floor team work on critical patients and witnessed how the code team works first hand. I learned about dealing with not only patients themselves, but also their family.
The summer of 2023, I worked as part of the kitchen staff for Camp of the Rising Son. During my off-hours I spent time in the nurse office interning. I learned by helping and observing. I helped administer meds, and perform small first-aid procedures.
I tutored the child of a teacher at the high school I attended. He was in 5th grade. I assisted with math's, history, and reading.
