Meyer 3 Charge Nurse:

Responsibilities include overseeing staffing for Meyer 3 and the Psychiatric Emergency Department (Psych ED), leading responses to behavioral and medical emergencies, and collaborating with the patient data coordinator to facilitate the movement of patients from the Psych ED and other units.

Psych ED Charge Nurse:

  • I oversee comprehensive patient care, supervising unit personnel and managing patient dispositions across the psychiatric and emergency departments. Specific duties include triaging psychiatric and medical patients, offering recommendations to medical and psychiatric providers, handling behavioral and medical emergencies while prioritizing staff safety, coordinating patient care with the ED shift coordinator during high patient volumes, and accepting Emergency Petitions from Police and Emergency Service Personnel.

RN Preceptor:
