  • Lead team responsible for the management of the maintenance, community programming, marketing partnerships and ancillary revenue of the Jack London Square Marina & Waterfront on behalf of Port of Oakland and CIM Group partners/owners of commercial assets within the project.
  • In partnership with Port of Oakland commercial property team, and CIM retail and commercial leasing, prepared justification, presentations to State Lands resulting in the passing of California State Bill SB304 to lift the State Lands Trust use restrictions on ground floor retail and office uses after 80 years of restriction bringing new opportunity to over 200K SF of ground floor space.
  • In Partnership with Port of Oakland Environment staff, review opportunities for additional Waterfront activation of a 15 acre waterfront site, to include digital advertising, event paid partnerships, and special event strategies that bring additional ancillary revenue, foot traffic and increased visitation to Jack London Square by proposing amendments to Bay Area Conservation coastal commission permits impacting the waterfront.
  • Execute asset strategy for 200K SF of Commercial mid-rise office, and 200K SF of ground level restaurants, retail, and entertainment.
  • Collaborate and support the leasing team to achieve budgeted income goals, including marketing efforts and strategy.
  • Understand pro forma requirements and lender obligations as they relate to leasing activities.
  • Supervise on-site staff and other property teams including Marketing Directors, Senior Property Manager, Assistant Property Managers, Accounting Staff, administrative support staff and engineers. Plan, organize and control employee-focused activities.
  • Manage tenant-focused relationship programs and processes that meet or exceed building occupancy.
  • Review, monitor, recommend, and implement operating budgets and long-term capital improvements.
  • Function as the leader and promoter of the vision for the asset both internally and externally. Accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations, tenant relations, specialty leasing program, budgeting, forecasting, expense control, rent collections and negotiating/tracking all contracts.
  • Lead bi-monthly asset meetings with the asset team including development, leasing, marketing, small scale development and operations.
  • Support future development planning to include community outreach and government affairs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to review strategies and implement plans to increase traffic, increase retailer sales, and execute the coveted customer experience.
  • Prepare and present management approval, forecasts, budgets, business plans and long-term capital improvement plans. Ensure the property team controls operating expenses and reports financial performance monthly.
  • Perform routine inspections of the buildings to evaluate productivity of in-house and contracted maintenance/repairs.
  • Overseeing, tracking, and implementing processes to ensure that the center follows Management policies and procedures as it relates to management of leases, contracts, tenant construction/open shop, safety, risk, insurance, specialty leasing, marketing, security, legal/joint venture partnership, payroll, and human resources.

  • Member of the Bay Street acquisition team and onboarded asset in May of 2022 to deliver Flagship standards, by enhancing campus wide experience within the first 6 months, performing $1.5M deferred maintenance and $2M in operational and visual improvements.
  • Actively supporting the development team to deliver the new Bay break dining redevelopment to completed fall of 2022. deliver a $90M wall to wall renovation of the center.
