I am Izzy, and I am a marketing professional and graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), where I studied Mass Communications, specializing in Journalism, and minoring in English Literature. After graduating from Gibault Catholic High School in 2019, I began my time as a college student at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC), where I earned my Associate of Arts degree. Then, I promptly transferred to SIUE. While in college, I worked as an on-air host at WSIE – 88.7 The Sound, a radio station that plays jazz, smooth jazz, blues, and R&B for the St. Louis area. Louis area. Louis area. blues, and R&B for the St. Louis area. Louis area. Louis area. When I was not at school or the radio station, I worked as a sales representative for Rogers & Hollands. In my spare time, I often wrote for my school newspaper, local newspapers, did audio production for friends' podcasts, and even dabbled in video production. The summer after my junior year of college, I started as a Marketing and Sales intern for Hubbard Radio. After my internship, I was hired part-time permanently and eventually promoted to a full-time position in July. I was able to work in marketing and graphic design for iconic brands like KSHE-95, 105.7 The Points, 101ESPN, 106.5 The Arch, and more! My next professional role was as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Town & Country Police Department. This is where I was able to lead community engagement, public statements, and also create a campaign that helped a once struggling department become fully staffed in less than 5 months, earning me a letter of gratitude from my superiors. I am a hardworking, reliable professional who is determined to gain more experience and knowledge in the Communications field.
