I am currently working per diem at UCLA in the float pool. I worked in the ICU at Martin Luther King Memorial Hospital where I received my experience working with critical care in intensive medical settings. Utilizes advanced clinical skills to provide comprehensive patient care. Knowledge of life-saving procedures and patient assessment techniques. I previously worked at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital for7 years, where I have worked on multiple units as a float pool/ resource nurse. I have mastered the skills of caring for a variety of patients with severe injuries as a total care nurse on a trauma floor. I currently work in the float pool for UCLA where I float to many different units between two different hospitals. As a dedicated and reliable total care nurse, my time management skills have been perfected. I have advanced experience working with trachs, Peg tubes, IVs, wound care, close head injury patients, orthopedic patients, and surgical patients. I also worked at USA Medical Center, the level1 trauma center of the Gulf Coast area, for4 years on a Medical Surgical floor as a total care nurse. I have amazing communication skills and people report that I am easy to talk to. I am a hardworking, positive, skilled, and caring employee who works extremely well in a team environment. Lastly I am a fast and eager learner for any new skills I may need to provide the best care possible for my patients.
