  • I worked at BRHC in the past, from October 1980 to January 2000, and left to finish my PharmD education.   I returned in 2012, and work presently there as an Oncology Pharmacist, when needed, after working in several other hospitals.  
  • I managed twelve pharmacy technicians, and several pharmacy interns on rotation with their studies, through the years I worked at BRHC.
  • Implemented software for the Baxter IV Pumps, and made changes as needed, before uploading the software to all the IV pumps throughout the hospital
  • Provided several inservices to nurses, students and physicians on new developments and treatments in pharmacy
  • Used Meditech software for order entry of physician orders, check for drug interactions and dosing of medications, update dosing protocols, check labwork of patients, and several other duties as needed.

I work as as an Oncology Pharmacist on a prn basis, and fill in for vacations and holidays. I am presently semi-retired from the pharmacy field. As an Oncology Pharmacist, I receive physician orders and input them in to the Meditech pharmacy computer system, review the orders for medication dose, administration, side effects, drug interactions, and dosing intervals. I work with a pharmacy technician that prepares the oncology medications in a sterile environment. I then check the prepared medication for proper labeling, and correct intravenous solution and IV tubing.
