I may not have a fire academy under my belt but I do have over a decade of work experience in some of the most challenging and physically demanding industry there is. It has groomed me to be resilient and resourceful in ways that can not be duplicated. I pride myself in being both a joy and motivating to work with while maintaining a stern and professional domineer. I am a problem solver at heart and understand that there is always room to grow and learn more. I take pride in being a listener and not a talker, I have zero issue with taking orders from superiors whether I see the whole picture or not. I know my place on the ladder and I let my actions do the talking for me. I believe I would be a great asset to your crew.

As Deck boss I was the direct line of contact between the captain and the 3 man crew on the back deck. I was in charge of keeping crew sharp and performing as safely and efficiently as possible regardless of poor working conditions and times of little to no sleep. I acted as relief captain on many occasions and run the boat full time when the fishing is slow and we can down size the crew.
I've been running my own small scale river fishing/hunting guide service. Routine maintenance to 2 river boats and a pickup. I provide a safe and enjoyable experience to clients while they pursue there trophy fish or animal.
I worked as an entry level Climber and groundsman for a summer for Mike Hess Tree Service in an effort to find a new career path to supplement my fishing income. It was all fine and great until i began big climbing jobs around high voltage power lines and expansive infrastructure. I came to the conclusion being a climber the risk was not worth the reward for me.
General Commercial fishing duties. performed tedious yearly maintenance on boat and gear. worked cooperatively with other fisherman and the Trinidad Native american Rancheria to keep the dock and hoists maintained. This job was my introduction to more of an engineer/ deck boss role.
My first season I was originally hired as a temp employee on one of the engine crews at harrison gulch station. I was quickly hired as a full time employee as a wildland fire "apprentice" partially through my first summer. That opened up for me to spend the remainder of my career with USFS getting to bounce around between the Handcrew, the engine and my favorite the water tender.
