As one of the Team Managers, I was responsible for managing football equipment, ensuring equipment was out prior to practice and properly stored at the end of practice. Supporting the the coaching staff by ensuring they have all required materials prior to games. Post practice and games I ensure all fields are clean and nothing remains on the field. Holding players accountable to be ontime and ready for practices and games.
As the South High School Track and Field Manager I am responsible for equipment at meets. I coordinated with the athletes to ensure they were signed up for all the correct races. Proper athlete nutrition and hydration was also one of my key responsibilities. During meets I also ensured heat sheets were kept accurate.
As a member of the Junior PGA Golf Team I had to be ontime to all weekly practices and matches. To make the All Star Team I practiced at the golf course five to six days a week, at the driving range, putting greens and playing 18 holes a day. My self-motivation and drive to make the Junior PGA All Star Team paid off as I was selected to part of the travelling team.
As an athlete on the Challenge Alaska Adaptive Ski Team, I had to lead by example. My time management improved as I had to coordinate getting from Anchorage to Girdwood prior to practices and races. I also put in significant time outside of scheduled practices to work on areas that my coaches provided feedback in.
