Dedicated volunteer firefighter with extensive training at Stamping Ground Fire Department, skilled in fire suppression and emergency medical treatment. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, demonstrating teamwork and commitment to community safety. Experienced in public education and equipment maintenance, striving to make a meaningful impact through service.
Through Stamping Ground Fire Department I’ve been able to attend many trainings not only through their personal weekly trainings they’ve put on, but various other external trainings all over the state of Kentucky.
Several certifications include, IFSAC 1 certified, IFSAC 2 certified (minus hazmat ops), Emt certification (studying for registry now), ARFF 40 hour certified, Among the weekly trainings I attend we have put countless hours of hard work and dedication to our commitment to the people of Stamping Ground and the safety of them. Through helping set up school visits to teaching even adults about the importance of fire safety and what the fire service truly means.
While being a volunteer, I’ve learned the importance of getting straight to work and completing the tasks set at hand even when we’re short handed. Whether it’s 2 people on a truck or 4, there is still work to be done and it must be completed in order to complete the tasks set at hand. Stamping Ground has taught me many of the important characteristics of being a firefighter such as hard work, dedication, determination, teamwork, attitude, chain of command, and it has truly transformed my mind and personality into the person I’ve always wanted to be by opening a world of opportunities. It’s always been a dream of mine to be able to help people, not for the money, but for the simple reason of wanting to make an impact however small it may be.
