Working along side teams of Nurses and Doctors providing patient care to pediatric patients in a level 1 trauma center.

Skills include IV access (utilizing a ultrasound when needed), airway management, bleeding control, cardiac monitoring, and assisting Doctors with major procedures (i.e. intubation, chest tubes, thoracotomy, etc)

Responding to code/rapid response pages throughout the entire hospital, including but not limited to PICU, CCU, and OR. Utilizing same skills as previously stated

Work on fire and rescue apparatuses and Advanced Life Support Ambulance.

Participate in daily training.

Participate in Public Education.

Responds to 911 emergencies and provides advanced prehospital life support under high stress situations, including medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and structural fires.

Works along side a team of responders to produce best patient outcome.

Advances skills and knowledge with in house training, continuing education, and equipment management.
