Data Analysis

• Reported and analyzed data for internal purposes by creating and maintaining reports in Power BI. Duties included: creating new fields with DAX & M; performing data validation to test new fields and reports; data modelling and optimization; and working as an intermediary between operations and IT.
• Key member on global reporting project. Consolidating reporting across 30+ countries with different ERPs.
• PBI Admin work such as coordinating access, gateways, documentation, report security, and ticket management via Azure DevOps.
• Conducted asset valuations from time to time.

Operational Improvements

• Interact with nearly all departments to find and resolve inefficiencies in business processes, such as creating an en-masse serial number lookup tool with PBI and Excel that saved 25% of a department's workload (two hours per day per person). Helped legal department quickly catch up after being behind on finalizing 200 contracts at quarter-end by creating a PBI report and Excel macro.
• Took initiative to learn Power Automate and used it to streamline and capture vendor invoices details. To date have automated 20%-25% of vendor invoices with plans to reach 40%-50% by EOY.

• Placed orders for equipment, entered vendor invoice and asset data, and completed accounts payable tasks.
• Substantially decreased processing time of invoices by effectively using Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros to process 40% of invoices and 50% of invoice value on my team of four.
• Received $2.7 million referral from vendor six months after transferring departments due to superior customer service and quick turnaround times for document processing including purchase orders, approvals to pay, and certificates of acceptance.
• After transferring departments, despite hiring a replacement and three employees attending to my former accounts, a customer forewent leasing an additional $37 million of equipment stating the service had declined. In response, the firm created a new department and hired six people to manage the accounts.

• Research tasks included: Mexican solar energy, Indian coking coal industry; Egyptian pharmaceutical and real estate. Established background understanding of each industry, gathered financial metrics, and wrote papers summarizing findings.
