AGC Biologics Headquarters- Bothell Washington -
AGC Biologics is a global CDMO based in Seattle, Washington, USA. The company provides pharmaceutical development and manufacturing services for protein-based biologics and cell and gene therapies.
Freezing conditions (over a weekend) in the greater Washington area compromised a second floor steam coil unit. As a result flooding affected roughly 6,000sqft of manufacturing and adjacent chemical testing lab. Project coordination and management consisted of thorough site assessments supported with thermal imaging documentation and docusketch moisture mapping. Given the sensitive nature of the facility, coordinated teams worked closely with both internal AGC industrial hygienist as well as third party hygienist consultants to develop and execute mitigate and reconstruction efforts at the facility. Project was broken up into three phases that included installation of ridgid critical barrier containments, HVAC duct cleaning, demolition of affected drywall, scraping and diamond grinding of floor surfaces all under negative air pressure with a bin reading variance no greater than .3. All areas were tested, approved and signed off on by hygienist teams. Project duration 4 months.
Ritz Carlton - Naples Florida -
With a credo and corporate philosophy of unwavering commitment to service — both in our hotels and in our communities — The Ritz-Carlton sets the standard for luxury experiences the world over.
Hurricane Ian affected the greater Naples Florida area on September 9th 2022. As a result the Ritz Carlton beach resort experienced heavy washout and damage from above normal ocean surges. This specific location was currently under a massive expansion that included the addition of an entire 87 suite wing with luxury common areas and supportive guest amenities, a patio extensions that lead to newly added lounge pools and cabana areas. During construction efforts the hurricane surges washed out all lower level areas including the main CEP (Central Energy Plan) that housed main switch gear, chiller system, elevator pumps and various other complex mechanical systems. Coordinated efforts with electrical and mechanical partners allowed for installation of temporary power (12 megs of supporting generators) along with complete assembly of an exterior switch gear unit (assembled to scale to support resort at 80% capacity). Mechanical teams assembled a bypass of existing closed loop chiller pump system (2100 gallon) that tapped into existing facility closed loop pipe system. Along with large format desiccants and DX units (Direct expansion) and additional generator power emergency response efforts on this level allowed for the resort to come online with basic functions that assisted with overall conditioning and stabilization. This in turn limited the risk of microbial growth and further deterioration of affected areas and allowed general contracting team to proceed with contractual obligations that would have otherwise been delayed for an unseen period of time.
Cascade Aircraft Conversions - Spokane Washington
Cascade Aircraft is an engineering company with a proven track record of products that make agricultural aircraft lift more, fly longer, and ultimately make operators more money. With 12 STCs, over 250 products flying, and an ongoing PMA manufacturing facility, Cascade is the best choice for aviation’s hardest working aircraft. With locations in several states the covington facility outside of Spokane Washington experienced a chemical combustion related fire that compromised the entire 16,000Sqft fabrication hangar. Complex equipment such as metal CNC machinery, large industrial metal fabrication machinery, structural red iron and lift systems were all heavily inspected with supporting documentation that ensured the cascade facility could obtain replacement and or justify the needed overhaul to preserve seamless functionality. Pack out, detailed cleaning teams and dedicated inventory recording teams worked alongside cascade personnel to produce detailed records that aligned with company P&L to allow the Cascade leadership to work hand in hand with insurance company and oversite consulting teams to make informed decisions as to how to discard or preserve. With detailed coordination and management the facility was able to undergo a full turnkey overhaul from initial response efforts to the final coat of paint.
