One-on-one Instruction
When it comes to creating artworks, I pull inspiration from multiple areas and time periods from the art world to create my artwork.
While inspired from those sources, I am able to learn about the history, culture, influence and importance of the artwork. I learn more than just a painting or drawing technique, I learn what other cultures valued in their artwork, as well as the significance the artwork has on the world today. I look forward to inspiring students with this creative technique of learning about art, art history, and the significant impact it can have throughout generations.
By investigating and learning about art pieces, I have subsequently learned about other cultures and how art is sacred to them. From the Avant Garde art movements originating in Europe that signified a massive cultural shift and attitude of Europeans, to the Benin Bronzes that hold the history of Kingdom of Benin in modern day Nigeria, to the rapid development of skyscrapers in the twentieth century and the importance it had on American culture as well as the world.
I desire to learn more art techniques and develop my technical skills as an artist. I also become more culturally aware, and become more understanding of other cultures and their impact on the world. This is what I bring to students; a classroom environment that is dedicated to building skills for the students to grow as an artist, and to help students see the rest of the world through the lens of the artworks and styles from across the world.
