Work History

HVAC Apprentice/QAQC

Colonial Webb Contractors
10.2024 - Current

In my role as an HVAC Apprentice, I supported startup technicians across multiple job sites—primarily in data centers—assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of large-scale industrial HVAC systems. My responsibilities included installing various safety switches and accessories, pressure testing systems, performing leak detection, pulling vacuums, and charging systems with refrigerant. I also managed material handling and performed routine maintenance on critical tools and equipment, such as vacuum pumps and calibration of pressure gauges.

Due to my reliability and attention to detail, I was promoted to a QA/QC Inspector. Given this new responsibility, I collaborated closely with project managers and superintendents to ensure all work met internal quality standards and project specifications. This position broadened my exposure to the full scope of construction and commissioning processes, working alongside multiple trades and subcontractors to deliver high-performance systems to the client.

Key responsibilities in the QA/QC role included:

  • Overseeing access control and quality inspections for HVAC equipment including CRAH units, RTUs, DOAS, VAVs, FBEs, FCUs, and humidifiers.
  • Conducting detailed inspections at various stages of the project lifecycle, including set-in-place verifications, pre-energization checks, and installation verification using standardized checklists.
  • Supporting commissioning efforts by ensuring systems were correctly installed and ready for functional testing and client turnover.
