I started in PTA unloading and caught on really fast and after a few short months I moved to chip loading on a different shift I learned everything I could and was eager to do what I had to so I could move on up. After a couple of years I was promoted to lead material handler and began to train with my supervisor to help do his job. I learned how to do truck paperwork, billing out rail cars and vise versa and a few other things that supervisors were responsible for. After being lead material handler for a year or so I decided I wanted to move to processing to have more job opportunities.
Moved to processing after three years of working in the rail yard to better my opportunity for a better job. I started as CP1 operator and after a couple of years I moved to CP2 where I only worked for a limited time and moved to FTR for about a year and then the opportunity came open to be certified on respirator and learn every job title in processing to become lead man. I am currently Lead operator and SSP operator. I know how to work DCS and I fill in when needed I also know additives and I fill in there when needed as well. I train my shift members at every plant to help them better understand everything that each plant does and help them excel when the time is right.
