  • Audit, Process and Distribute biweekly payroll for a multi state company working out of 13 states, 17 locations with approximately 230 employees. Once a month I process a separate payroll for all employees that are due commissions. I key in a breakdown of all GL accounts for FUTA, FICA, State and local payroll taxes, total net cash, garnishment break down by GL and 401K into VTR's accounting software.
  • Responsible for keeping up with all time and attendance PTO requests, I balance each request with each payroll to make sure all PTO balances stay accurate and follow through with collection of all PTO forms.
  • I handle all monthly billing allocations for each benefit plan VTR offers to make sure they stay balanced and key in the break down per GL account into VTR's accounting software.
  • I collect, maintain & process all benefit enrollments, including making sure deductions are set up in a timely and correct manner. Responsible for all new hire documentation and up keep of employee files, terminations, wage garnishments, child support, verification of employment, responding to answers for any Child Support or Government Agency when inquiring about such withholdings.
  • I handle all aspects of unemployment claims for each state.
  • Every quarter I will notify all newly eligible employees of our 401K plan enrollment and manually enter new enrollees or changes in each employees Empower account as well as make changes within the payroll system.. I also work closely with Empower to make sure anyone cashing out receives their retirement in a timely manner.
  • I run reports and manually key in pay history forms for all managers, attaching instructions and reminders for those who may have an employee that has come up on their 90 or 1 year evaluation.
  • In the 90 days I have been employed with VTR I have implemented and executed an online recruiting and onboarding system for all new hires, which just took off last week.
  • I support all location managers and service managers with helping their employees learn how to download and log in to our payroll system, and each benefit plan including BCBS of MS, MetLife, Unum, Teladoc, Mutual of Omaha and Empower.
  • I serve as a back up to the HR Director.

  • Processed weekly payroll for 200+ employees. Developed a pay prep system to prepare at the end of each week and developed a system to audit and balance before submitting each payroll for the best accuracy, including balancing and making sure each employee had an accrual profile set up properly.
  • Developed and implemented new payroll policies and procedures according to changing laws and regulations.
  • Supported all Management staff in the onboarding process to make sure each employee had the appropriate settings and information received to have them onboarded in a timely manner.
  • Handled all Garnishments, Child Support WO, answers, verification of employment and made sure 401K was submitted to the bank, and ran reports for the accounting department so the appropriate break down of wages, salaries, taxes deductions and earnings were coded to the correct GL account number.
  • Developed a system to make it easier handling all benefit enrollments, including knowing when to offer, when to enroll, when to terminate and when to send out COBRA.
  • Served as a back up to the HR Director when he/she was out or unavailable.
