Responsible for handling overpayments or reimbursement from other parties who may be liable for payment of claims and ensuring assigned work is complete and within guidelines by specific deadlines. This level handles more routine issues.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
· Determining and calculating the amount of overpayments
· Issuing refund request letters, notice letters, or med lists
· Processing voluntary refunds
· Adjusting claims based on refunds received
· Performing other duties as assigned( across multiple teams)
