I spent 120 hours at the campus library at South Piedmont Community College working on my capstone project. I spent this time making edits to the digital catalog, weeding and shelf-reading books, and checking items in and out for patrons. I worked on a graphic design project to create a poster in order to promote the Manga section of the library to patrons. I also spent time reshelving returned books as well as selected books to be removed from the shelves, such as outdated medical textbooks.
During my time at Wingate University, I worked at the campus library where I shadowed at the front desk to practice patron interactions, researched newly released books to add to the catalog, and edited metadata records of existing entries of the digital catalog.
I volunteer at the Union County library in Monroe by categorizing returned books and putting them back on the shelves.
