Attended a highly-academically-ranked 7-12 (now 6-12) school in Colorado where I discovered my love for learning the Spanish language. I took 5 years of Spanish starting in 8th grade and all four years of high school. I chose Hastings College because I was given the option of continuing to learn Spanish and eventually reached the point of wanting to teach the language to the same grade levels in which I learned it.
