
A hard-working college student who graduated in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management at the age of 20. Currently have over 9 months of work experience learning how to be an effective communicator, team player, detail-oriented, task-driven, problem-solving, and have a great work ethic. Consistently been praised by team members and managers as hard-working, and all of the above.
Was awarded with a plaque for successfully completing the 'Management Internship Program.'
The Management Internship Program was a 12-week course where I shadowed the Department manager's full-time hours. I was responsible for running a portion of the department. At Menards, I:
-Worked 45 hours a week mainly opening and closing.
-Cleaned the department by sweeping and washing counters, throwing away empty boxes.
-Learned how to successfully open and close the store.
-Adding colorants into the paint dispensers.
-Stocked shelves.
-Wrote overstock tickets for overstock items.
-Assisted with customers in finding items and mixing paint.
-Faced shelves.
-Assisted in throwing away all the cardboard in the corral when receiving was busy.
-Assisted with receiving when they had many trucks come in.
-To-do lists that needed to be done daily.
-Assisted in leading the department meeting.
-Assisted in other departments like grocery and pet where I stocked shelves, cleaned up the dirty shelves, faced, and made sure the products where in the right spot.
-Gained knowledge of company policies, protocols and processes.
-Did paper work including scenarios like what would I do in a given situation.
-Conducted a SWOT analysis of Menards for my final project.
