Over the last two years as a gas technician I have been working on earning my Bachelors degree in Business Administration. I completed my associates degree in Business administration in May of 2023. I have since started my Bachelors degree and am on track to graduate in May of 2025. All of this is through Southern New Hampshire's online program, which is through WM's "your tomorrow" program. I plan on continuing my career in Landfill Gas Operations while completing my education.
I have worked with Waste Management Since December 9th, 2019. I started off as a general laborer at the Southern Services Landfill in Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout the two years in Nashville I learned many applicable skills on the Landfill Operations side of the Industry. I did everything from Cleaning heavy equipment, raising wells, and other general maintenance on the ground at the Landfill. I was then offered the Gas Technician job in Moody, Alabama in November of 2021. The last two years I have read the well field at three different sites across Alabama as well as general gas technician duties at these sites. I have experience and am familiar with leachate evaporators and flare stacks. I have a general understanding and experience with leachate risers, pneumatic pumps, and condensate sumps. My primary responsibility has been reading and tuning the well field. At two of my sites, I have to ensure I provide good gas quality so leachate evaporators can run at their full potential.
