At Texas Tech University, I excelled as a research assistant, mastering data analysis and fostering teamwork to enhance project outcomes. My adeptness in SPSS and commitment to research ethics significantly contributed to identifying knowledge gaps, supporting hypothesis development, and streamlining research processes for improved efficiency.
As a dedicated member of the Narasha Community Development Group, I have actively championed the rights of indigenous tribes to their ancestral lands. The right to land is deeply connected to the cultural and economic survival of indigenous peoples, rendering our campaign crucial. Our goal is to ensure that our communities can sustain their traditional lifestyles, which often depend on land and natural resources, by opposing land dispossession and advocating for fair land policies. Additionally, we strive to raise public awareness about the impacts of climate change, which disproportionately affects indigenous populations. We are committed to developing resilient strategies and sustainable practices to tackle these environmental challenges through community involvement and education.
In my advocacy, I place significant emphasis on safeguarding and preserving our culture and indigenous languages, alongside land and environmental concerns. Indigenous languages are not only means of communication but also repositories of knowledge, traditions, and identity. Due to modernity and globalization, these languages are at risk of extermination. We promote the use and transmission of our languages to younger generations through various initiatives, such as educational programs and cultural events. The preservation of our community's unique history and cultural diversity relies on this effort, ensuring that our traditions and systems of knowledge persist for generations to come.
