My name is Jackson Stewart, I have been working in the profession of veterinary medicine since 2017 to now. At first I was only part time while I was doing undergraduate studies for biology but then full time after finishing school around 2020-21. I have always had a love for animals since I was a kid and have dreamed of and enjoyed working in this field. I have 3 cats of my own all of whom I have raised from kittens and gotten through my current work place.
I have been fortunate to acquire many skills while working as a tech. Some of these aforementioned skills include: Vaccine administration, proper patient restraint, intubation on both cats and dogs, filling medications, food ordering and organization. Lab skills such as: fecal flotation and reading, preparation and analysis of both urine and blood samples. Ear sample collection, gram staining and analysis. I also have experience in sterilization and preparation of surgical packs. Rabies sample preparation.
