Summary

I have been employed with the Teller County Sheriff's Office since April 8th, 2011. I am interested in furthering my career in law Enforcement and would like to express my desire to work for Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

During my tenure with the Teller County Sheriff's Office, I worked in multiple roles such as Dispatch, an Officer in the Teller County Jail, Patrol Deputy , Detective and most recently, I have served as a Task Force Officer with Drug Enforcement Administration. Each position I have worked has provided me with knowledge and skills from a variety of perspectives.

During my time as a Detective at TCSO, I investigated cases for suspicious death, violent crimes against children, adults and at-risk-adults, sexual assault on adults and children, attempted murder, murder/suicide, narcotic related cases, juvenile crimes as well as many other lesser charges. I also currently handle any cybertips generated by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). ICAC has afforded me the opportunity to build a network of other qualified investigators from multiple agencies.

I am currently serving as a Task Force Officer for the Drug Enforcement Administration Colorado Springs Resident Office . As a Task Force Officer, I conducted investigations involving large scale drug trafficking organizations operating in Southern Colorado as well as Phoenix, Arizona. During these investigations I documented drug transactions to gather evidence while surveilling undercover investigations. I have also conducted complex surveillance operations, surveilled controlled buys, as well as assist on two wire tap investigations. During these investigations, and assisting with other cases, I have written several State and one Federal search warrant to utilize Global Positions Systems/PEN registers to locate suspects.
