I've spent years of my professional life trying to figure out what is I'm supposed to do with my career and my talents, and ever since I started substitute teaching the answer was obvious: I belong in the classroom, and, more importantly, I belong with students who I can really help. There are few better experiences in my life than helping a student either realize who they are or realize their unlocked potential, and throughout my time at PYLUSD I'm taken just as much pride in what I teach students academically as I do in their social-emotional learning. There is no more important aspect of teaching to me than creating a safe learning environment, because I believe that when students feel comfortable and supported their best work is soon to follow. I've now reached a point where I'd love to find a school to call my new home, and I look forward to what the future holds!
