Special Ed Para-professional
I was employed as a paraprofessional for a work readiness program in which I assisted the instructor with daily tasks, worked one-on-one with students with a range of disabilities, and evaluated the skills of students.
I'm an approachable and friendly speech language pathology graduate student with a passion for helping people in whatever way I can. I pride myself in being reliable and being able to get the job done with a smile on my face.

As a Miracle League intern, my duties were to help set up the field before games, clean up after games, work as a job coach in the concession stand, help players on the field, and help out wherever it was needed. I worked with and aided people of varying ages and disabilities. My main job was to help players have a good time, and to help workers gain job experience and complete tasks successfully.
As a tour guide, my job was to meet and interact with prospective students and their families and show them around Edinboro University. I would tell them all they needed to know about the university and answer any questions they had. I made people feel welcomed and accepted on campus, and I helped college students to feel better about going to college.
During the summers I worked as a produce clerk in Shop N Save. My duties there were to stock produce, answer questions customers had in the store, and prepare and cut certain packages of fruit.
I worked as a buddy on the Pittsburgh Pirates miracle league team every season until I went to college. I worked with a large number of players ranging in age and disability, making sure they were safe and having a good time on the baseball field. When up to bat, I would help the player hit if requested, catch balls, and occasionally pitch to the player. When in the outfield, I would often play catch, run around, or do whatever else the player thought was fun at the time. During games I would help out around the team and help to make sure everything was running smoothly.
For my senior year of high school, I got to work with a speech therapist in Streams Elementary School. There, we would have groups of children come in for different speech problems, and we would participate in therapy through cueing, games, and conversation skills. I would frequently participate in activities and help the children when needed.
My first job was a bus boy at Friendship Village of South Hills. My job included cleaning tables, washing dishes, runnin food to people in their apartments, and assisting the residents in bringing them food or silverware.
Edinboro chapter of NSSLHA (National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association) is a university club with the mission of getting students involved in activism and education regarding speech and hearing. I have participated in club activities and fundraisers in each semester of undergraduate study.
