I started as a part time dock worker in 2017, and never wanted to stay a dock worker. I went the management route in 2022 and never looked back. My achievements come in all areas of everything I know and will know. My ability to be able to run any lane I am put in or work any shift I am needed on. In 2023, I went to a Leadership class in Memphis that help me more with being able to talk to my fellow dockworkers no matter the situation they put me in whether it be good or bad. The dockworkers I have now know that I will always try to help them or answer any questions they have during the night. I am well respected by my dockworkers because I will always try to take care of them. Respect is a major achievement in my eyes.
•Oversee the loading and unloading trailers in my zone daily.
•Making sure that we have the equipment needed threw out the night for the zone to run smoothly.
•Project my lanes as accurate as possible, so we can service freight that needs to be sent out.
•Daily reports. That include PUDE code checks and daily Pro All Shorts and transfered for the day.
•Being able to help where every I’m needed whether that be in another zone. Or training a new supervisor.
•Always watching the zone for dockworkers not being safe, and education them on the safest way to do certain things.
