  • At Argus I work security for sporting events and concerts at all venues in the Denver area plus CU Boulder. My main job is to make sure that the events that are going on are safe by making sure no one brings in any prohibited items or making sure people aren't going into restricted areas. I am also part of the response team which handles all high-level security problems ranging from dealing with fights to anything medical. Finally I am a supervisor at Mission Ballroom who deals not just with the public, but also with any staff issues that may arise, so I problem-solve any issues that come up during the event to ensure the event is run smoothly and efficiently.

  • At the 13th Floor, I am a scare actor who performs every night to scare people by getting into character via costume and makeup. Here I work in a vast team-based work setting that is very fast-moving as things change all the time and no night is the same as the one before. Also, I have leadership experience at the 13th Floor as I was the lead of an attraction which means I was in charge of making sure the attraction ran to company standards every night while making sure a cast of 13 to 15 actors was comfortable and making sure they had everything they need while coaching them if needed.

  • In the mornings I make sure the floor is clean for opening by vacuuming it and setting up both drink stations to make sure the servers are ready to go when the doors open It consists of making raspberry lemonade and tea and also putting clean glasses in the proper racks, stock wine glasses, put together the soda machine, fill both sides with ice, fill the sanitization buckets with clean rags, and stocking them up with syrups and lemons. During the day I would make sure all tables are clean and ready to go for the next guest to enjoy in a fast manner while making sure both drink stations stay stocked up. During the Night it would be the same as during the day. Finally, when I close I take apart both drink stations and make sure everything is clean to keep everything sanitized, melt any ice that is left over, clean the drink station floors thoroughly with floor cleaner, and make sure out on the floor room all tables are clean for the morning and make sure all tables have the right amount of chairs, salt and pepper, and sugar packets. The other role I had here was hosting which consisted of greeting guests and setting them up in a timely manner while bringing excellent customer service. Finally, when I served I made sure to provide the best customer experience and made sure the guest had a great time every time this consisted of knowing the menu and how to put the orders in a timely manner and keeping up on checking with my tables.

  • I handled people's online orders when they got placed, I would then get notified and begin to start picking all the guest items they selected before they arrived after done with that task I would bring everything to the packing station and carefully bag all items for the guest to come to pick up. Also, this job consisted of helping guests when needed, for example, helping them find an item or even trying to solve their problem when frustrated. Finally, I would stock shelves and do inventory in the back making sure it was up to date.
