Work History

Scientist 1

Parker Hannifin, Bioscience and Water Filtration Division
08.2023 - Current
  • Responsible for performing root cause analysis on returned sensor products and transferring the results into customer facing reports.
  • Regularly provide laboratory expertise in A3 problem solving activities to drive down COPQ and improve functionality of existing sensor products.
  • In charge of regularly performing membrane characterization techniques (SEM, water flow rate, air permeability, tensile strength) to support new product development efforts.
  • In charge of providing key support in the development of new sensor products by designing and executing studies, performing data analysis, running inert atmosphere organic syntheses, and presenting results in regular report-out meetings to a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Responsible for performing validations of lab equipment, manufacturing processes, and testing methods using IQ/OQ/PQ and Gage R&R.
  • Tasked with using GDP and GLP to write and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and forms for equipment and processes in a lab environment.
  • In charge of coordinating directly with vendors to schedule routine maintenance on analytical equipment and to purchase new equipment when necessary.
  • Perform quality assurance testing on customer product (metal extractables and endotoxin) and complete batch records.
  • Other tasks assigned include: filter autopsy investigations, filter integrity testing, environmental monitoring og ISO Class 6/7 cleanrooms, and training new users of equipment.

Laboratory Intern

Parker Hannifin, Bioscience and Water Filtration Division
01.2022 - 08.2023
  • Operated, troubleshooted, and maintained ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC-MS
  • Performed sample prep, extraction, analysis, and reporting of bacterial endotoxin testing via LAL
  • Assisted with environmental monitoring of ISO class 6/7 cleanrooms by performing non-viable particulate sampling and analysis.

Research Assistant

CSUCI Chemistry Department, Dr. Ahmed Awad
08.2022 - 05.2023
  • Conducted inert atmosphere organic synthesis of nucleoside analogues.
  • Synthesized molecules were purified using column chromatography and CombiFlash.
