Summary

I graduated in June of '22 and a month later I went to go work Construction with Paragon Custom Builders for another month. College was about to start so I had to come back home to do my Automotive studies. I was experiencing issues with my vehicle's spark plugs. Then I took the whole drivetrain out to swap it for a different engine. I have worked on various other vehicles as well as mine. That included a transmission flush, head gasket replacement, trouble-shooting diagnosis of a bad distributor, and countless oil changes on different vehicles.

Working on cars

I have my 4.6 liter block on an engine stand and my auto transmission sitting right next to it. The reason for it is because of steel spark plugs and the aluminum heads that the 4.6 liter has. The spark plug blew and took the threads with it, I was offered a temporary fix but I was also told that the temporary fix could simply just break as well. So I decided at 17 to take the aluminum heads and swap those for steel heads. When my father and I started, we quickly noticed the 4.6 liter was very wide, I did not want to deal with how big it was, and also how little room I had to do basic maintenance on my vehicle. I have always been very passionate about working with vehicles. I've replaced fuel filters, fuel pumps, inertia switches(cutoff switch), and basic modifications as well. Those modifications would include redoing the headliner with a different fabric, new headlights/taillights, all the way to subwoofers and an amp. For my school studies, I plan to graduate with the Master Automotive Technician degree. For my vehicle, I plan to first acquire a source of income and then shop for a 6.0 liter if possible, with a manual transmission swap.
