During my time at St. Ephraim, I taught younger church members about the word of God, and how it can be applied to our lives, as well as to help strengthen their faith. This experience, however, not only helped the children, but was a very productive method of bringing me closer to Christ. Overall, it also taught me experience and problem solving, as working with kids entails lots of questions, and teaching requires you to be able to have quick answers to these questions.
I was in a volunteer position in the Neurology Department at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. During my time, I learned about how the hospital functions and how to work in such an environment. Not only did I get work experience in a field I hope to pursue, but it also helped to teach social skills in a job environment.
