Summary

I have been involved in Overhead Distribution linework since June of 2023 and have been working with Sumter Utilities Inc. since October 2023 and I am still currently employed. I have worked on strictly reconduct on both single phase and three phase systems along with pole changeout jobs of Duke Energy System. I have worked on Duke Energy system and been familiar with the Duke Spec for over 2 years now. While I have been at Sumter Utilities Inc. I have become an apprentice and have taken part of the Northwest Lineman College where I have completed and passed all tests for Year 2 of the Lineman Apprenticeship Program and I am scheduled to move on to the Year 3 portion of the same Apprenticeship. I am familiar with hot work on live lines in a bucket and am capable of different types of numerous tasks in a bucket. I am capable and experienced in working on energized and de-energized powerlines and perform daily hot bucket work with the assistance and guidance of my lead lineman. Operating equipment and machinery like track machines/ backyard machines and the traditional digger derrick truck. Experience in setting poles and augering holes for the poles or anchors on a daily basis. I have dealt with many types of tools and installed many types of equipment that goes on utility poles such as grounds, MACs, Switches and cutouts, installation and removal of transformers and protective rubber cover up. To sum up some of the rest of the experience that I have obtained also includes: climbing poles, maintaining trucks and good housekeeping to follow DOT & company standards, going on and performing emergency storm repairs to get the customers power back on, and daily driving of the company trucks. I see myself as a very well organized, self-motivated individual that is team oriented and willing to work with others to complete the task at hand.
