Summary

I strive to change the narrative of Physical Education by moving beyond the outdated perception of PE as simply games or exercise and instead promoting it as a holistic approach to lifelong wellness. My goal is to show students that physical education is about developing the skills, confidence, and knowledge to live active, healthy, and balanced lives. Through my diverse teaching experiences in elementary, middle, and high school settings, I have worked with students of different backgrounds, abilities, and interests, adapting my instruction to ensure that every student feels included and capable of success. These experiences have taught me how to connect with learners in meaningful ways, whether through sports, outdoor activities, health education, or personal wellness. By meeting students where they are and celebrating progress of all kinds, I aim to empower them to see physical education as a foundation for growth, confidence, and lifelong health.
