Jacob Preston

I've spent most of my HVAC career here both as an apprentice and a journeyman. As as later year apprentice, I ran my own jobs and managed one of our largest service accounts. I am one of our lead start up/ commissioning mechanics. I have completed all YORK and JCI equipment trainings for airside equipment and a good portion of YORK chiller trainings. I was responsible for the majority of the Manchester, NH branches installation projects and played a key role in troubleshooting and executing warranty work.

Assisted in various HVAC tasks as an apprentice, gaining hands-on experience with different types of equipment. Supported technicians in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, enhancing my technical skills. Gained foundational knowledge of HVAC operations through exposure to a wide range of equipment. Collaborated with the installation crew on small projects.

Assisted in the organization of preventive maintenance schedules for landscaping and resort amenities. Maintained landscaping equipment and resort transportation through hands-on mechanical work.

Demonstrated adaptability by quickly mastering essential tasks, resulting in promotion to grocery department. Recognized for commitment to excellence in customer service at Market Basket.

After attending Manchester Community College I spent the remaining time of my apprenticeship at the Local 131 Union Hall school learning various skills such as plumbing, pipefitting, brazing/soldering and welding.

I attended Manchester Community College for 2 years for the night program while working in the field. I took extra classes and attended summer courses to accelerate my learning. I continued my education here until going back to the union hall.
