- As my schedule for a full time job had set into place, I found myself available for more work. I applied to CSVFD because it was located in the city I had lived in since I was born. The Department is in the middle of a transitional period from Volunteer to Full Time staff and the idea of being a part of a cultural shift in the level of care, tactics, and service for the city was something that was appealing to me as well.

- The Dry Ridge Fire Department has been extremely rewarding. Once I had accepted the position as a part time employee, I immediately was interested in obtaining a full time position there. The fast paced county medicine required me to hone my EMS skills to their standard. The Fire side was no different. Limited resources and man power have taught me valuable lessons in decision making and using the skills we tirelessly train on. I had established great relationships allowing me to mature and learn from seasoned crew. Unfortunately after achieving the full time position I had sought out I was forced to separate from Ludlow Fire Department due to scheduling conflicts.

- My part-time job at Ludlow was short but I had nothing but great experiences there. I had applied to many departments hoping to establish a career start and Ludlow was accepting. I was surrounded by committed and hard working individuals providing excellent examples of work ethic and attention to detail. During this time I had begun working at Dry Ridge Fire resulting in my schedule becoming complicated. I believed it was in the Fire Department’s best interest for me to resign as it became increasingly harder for me to submit regular time dedicated to Ludlow FD.

- Fort Mitchell FD was the beginning of my career as a Volunteer/Intern. There I had begun my journey into the fire service earning my KY 115 and my certifications as an EMT. My time there was extremely educational, focusing on learning the skills necessary to Fire and EMS, as well as learning day to day tasks as a part of the duty crew. Due to career opportunities I had decided to apply outward to other agencies to begin my paid career.

I feel that some of my best strengths are my passion and drive that I apply to the workplace, however I would also consider that as a weakness due to someone interpreting that passion and love for Fire & EMS to be loud and boisterous. I cherish every moment I am blessed with the opportunity to provide service for the community as I believe it makes me better as a whole. I believe training and camaraderie is important in this field as it applies to our everyday situation. If I can train, live, and trust the guys next to me I believe any task can be accomplished.
