Jacob Sigler

• Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the St. Louis Lambert Airport Baggage Handling System (BHS). Currently managing a team of 27 employees and subcontractors.
• Primary POC for customer, service team, subcontractor, vendor, and stakeholders for any BHS related issues in a 24/7 operation.
• Site's BHS contingency expert and decision-maker. Site high-level coordinator with the Airport Authority & Operations, TSA screening management, and airline station managers for all BHS contingency events.
• In charge of maintenance, coordinating all BHS maintenance plans, planning corrective follow-ups, and monitoring the weekly completion of all work orders through CMMS.
• Implement a proven quality control grading system for over three years. Best practices have been shared and taught to other service sites to streamline this process (MCI, CLT, and ORD).
• Head of the site's Spare Parts program. In charge of reordering, inventory, and reporting consumed parts to contract expectations.
• Tasked with weekly payroll at a prevailing wage site.
• Monitor and deliver the KPIs report to the customer.
• In charge of monthly customer invoicing and providing supporting documentation for customers (monthly hour breakdown, event reports, closed work order reports, approved overtime breakdowns, extra invoiced maintenance activities).
• In charge of the hiring process and the onboarding process for all employees and subcontractors.
• Create and lead team huddles to review SOPs, outline maintenance plan missions, one-point lessons, update progress on any site improvement projects (5-S, QC, Spares, etc.), safety training updates, and any new site announcements, and employee recognition.
• Created the Site O&M SharePoint to file all service team files and organize all STL O&M activities.
• Helped develop and create a contingency plan for the new MCI BHS, based on STL-refined contingency scenario plans.
• Helped provide spare parts support to the CLT O&M team.

• Repaired and replaced worn and defective parts - including conveyor belts, drive, motors/motor gears, shafts, barrels/rollers, chains, etc.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of assets such as Portec Curve Belts, Siemens High Speed Divert (HSD), Vertical Sorting Unit (VSU), three-phase motors, Webb and Vanderlande Airport Carousels, fire doors, Mode Control Panel/Main Distribution Panel (MCP/MDP), SICK Automatic Tag Readers (ATR), and Allen-Bradley VFDs
• Train and mentor Control Room Operators, General Maintenance Technicians, and Maintenance Technicians on all aspects of maintenance and operations.
• Performed weekly quality control audits for the site's PMs and CMs, and also created a grading system to implement.
• Identified problems during daily work inspections, and addressed concerns.
• Adjusted and calibrated machines as required: tracking belts and chain tensioning.
• Studied repair and use manuals to ensure correct maintenance.
• Communicate with various parties about the work performed and the present status of the Baggage Handling System (BHS).
• Schedule preventative maintenance tasks to ensure job completion – Inspection, adjustment, cleaning, replacement
• Electrical troubleshooting with voltage, amps, and continuity.
• Site's safety ambassador. I attended all safety meetings and trained all BHS employees on safety protocols.

Control Room Operator

• Monitoring of the baggage handling system.
• Professional and accurate communications to all airport personnel, including airport operations, airport management, TSA, and all airlines.
• Professional and accurate communications to all internal team members.
• Knowledge of the Bagging Handling System (BHS) computer, including bag tag history, alarm history, and operational line functions.
• Understanding the navigation capability of the BHS functional control system.
• Comprehension of contingency planning protocol.
• Professionally and proficiently articulate the contingency plan that has been set in place to all affected stakeholders.

• Performs daily preventive maintenance on assigned assets.

• Shaped materials to exact measurements for job requirements using hand tools and power equipment
