As Director of Theatre:
Successfully directed, designed, and produced 10 shows, including the musicals "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" and "Little Shop of Horrors" (Pictures attached).
One-Act Play winner at District Rally for 6 consecutive years, serving as Co-Director in 2014, and Director from 2015-2019 (this is every year we entered a submission in this category).
Helped graduates pursue performing arts opportunities at nationally ranked liberal arts colleges across the country: Currently has alumni in Grad School Drama Programs at both Yale and NYU.
Worked with District leadership to create curriculum/sessions for Theater/Speech professional development from 2018-2021.
Taught Theater classes at Lafayette Chapter of C.Y.T., utilizing the platform to promote the opportunities that Comeaux Performing Arts had to offer.
As Director of Speech and Debate:
Asked to present at the 2023 Plano Independent School District Summer Teacher Inservice on the topic of my "Keys for Success," - how I was able to take a program from a Title I school and create sustained National Success in activity dominated by private and magnet schools.
Coached the only nationally recognized Speech School of Excellence in Louisiana for 7 consecutive years as designated by the National Speech and Debate Association (Ranked in the top 20 schools of the over 3000 at the National Tournament).
In nine years, coached 37 Speech and Debate National Finalists in Acting and Public Speaking events; with 18 of the 37 finalists being named National Champion.
Coached the Comeaux Speech Team to six consecutive State Team Championships (2015-2020)
Coached 52 Individual Event State Champions at the LHSSL Tournament of Champions
In the past 7 years, helped Speech Team graduates earn over $750,000 in scholarships to continue their competitive speech career at universities across the country, providing unprecedented opportunities for students of OCHS.
