As a Therapeutic Service Worker, I work in the Rehab department combing fun, creativity, and therapy in a safe environment to enrich the lives of the clients. The daily responsibilities of this position involve planning and leading groups, medical charting after the groups. Many of the groups we plan involving teaching the clients skills such as coping skills. In addition, I respond to crisis situations and implement our crisis training protocol. Finally, in this position, I have also helped facilitate hospital wide events.
As Program Director, I was responsible for scheduling and conducting appointments for prospect clients. I would make first contact with clients and take them through the basic movements of martial arts in two private lessons. I then would would fill out a contract with them and get them fully enrolled into class.
