- Over the summer I was a member of RCR in it’s hornline. I went through two rounds of auditions in the winter, and an additional rehearsal camp in May before moving in with the corps between June and August. During my time with RCR I would work 12-13 hour days daily. In some ways it acted as a job while still being primarily an educational experience. This required me to be both physically and mentally strong as I was required to constantly give an extreme level of focus and physical effort with minimal days off. I learned musical and performative skills, while also learning general life skills when living on the road and touring the Midwest.

In summary I performed the jobs of a busser and a runner; I prepared and delivered soups and salads, alongside cleaning all tables in the restaurant.
