Summary

I have over 7 years of experience in the Equipment field and 6 as a commercial Truck Driver.

I grew up in an Owner operator Household with Log Trucks and Equipment.

I have restored my own 70s era Log Truck for Parades and truck shows.

I worked for a small town excavation company for many years and it was the best experience I have had.

It is truly my passion to work in the construction industry and I'd like to continue my pursuit to work in the field.

Work History

Manager

Mountain East Towing & Recovery
3 2022 - Current

I currently manage operations at my Family Towing business. I am entirely responsible for all mechanical work needed as well as managing the crew. I have gained an immeasurable amount of Leadership and Teamwork skills from this.

I am interested in jumping back in to dirt work and continuing the pursuit of my career, as it is what I am passionate about.

Excavation & Trucking

Steve Ford
6 2017 - 2 2022

I started with this company straight out of CDL school. I transported equipment including: Komatsu 120 & 170 Excavators, Cat D5 HiTrack Dozer, Roller, Back Hoe, and Loader. I also transported the D5 all over the state on woods roads during wildfire season.

I was responsible for basic mechanical work and maintenance of equipment and trucks.

I hauled various types of materials including gravel, dirt, rock, brush, stumps, logs, ecology blocks ect.

I ran our D5: Moving brush and debris, stacking dirt, building roads, cutting ditch line and pushing out foundations. I was trusted to run the dozer on any of the various wildfire operations. During this time I gained experience running equipment in adverse situations and repairing roads for truck traffic.

I ran our Excavators both Komatsu 120 & 170.

Digging foundations, utility trenches, building driveways and cutting dirt banks for roadways, installing new septic systems as well as clearing brush and pushing down trees, and loading and unloading trucks.

I was also responsible for all of the ground labor: Installing power conduit, phone line, water line, and installing new septic systems. Both Gravity and Pressure systems. Shooting grade for trenches and foundations as well as slopes for residential and road projects. I have drivin sub contract dump truck on several large projects for: PCI, Advantage, Graham and Garco.

My most notable equipment experience would be forest road maintenance for the Nature conservancy, decommissioning or repairing roads with an excavator and hi track D5.

Truck Driver

Gibson & Son Roadbuilders

In the past I have worked for Gibson in the off season. I drove Long Logger, Dump Truck, and Tractor transporting various types of equipment, hauling gravel, rock, dirt, brush, logs, and DOT salt with truck and pup.

I worked on I90 for Graham Construction for a season. Spreading material for lane diversions and temporary bridges. I also pulled a flatbed hauling materials in and out of the Bridge projects for Graham.

Most of this work is through the winter months so I was operating on snow and ice.

Drove on projects with: Advantage, Graham, Nisqually Const, and Kuney.

Snow Removal Operator/Crew Lead

Summint At Snoqualmie
11 2014 - 3 2018

Operated 950H, and 966G Cat Front End Loaders, 14H Wing Grader, A Model KW Dump truck, and a Small D4 moving snow. I worked with a crew of loaders to ensure we were staying on task plowing snow in depths from 6 inches to 6 feet. Clearing this snow from a total of 28 parking lots, totaling nearly 285 acres, every single night. We were also responsible for maintaining roads spanning over 5 miles. We worked shifts from 8 hrs to well over 24 hrs. I was also responsible for training new hires, and incidentally my new supervisor at one point. I gained lot of in a grader during the off season blading lots to prep for the snow.

Having an extensive knowledge of every detail, obstacle and danger, being very conscious of safety and crew morale. As well as inspiring motivation and productivity are a few reasons why I was favored in this job.
