As Lead filling operator my responsibilities were to build a stronger team and influence my team to take initiative through my actions as being the lead to follow.I strongly prioritized safety cleanliness and productivity within my department. I had five personal goals when I started I achieved each one

1. Controle Waste Water

When I started my role we had no control of waste water I worked closely with the Filling team and Qc supervisor Michael Young to reduce the amount of waste water we were producing currently we have no waste water totes on the floor thanks to the hard work and dedication of myself and the team I worked with.

2.Cleaning And Organizing plant A

Plant A was a nightmare when I started my role I wanted to clean and organize it from the moment I started we pulled down every skid from the shelving and re organized everything we had quart lids mixed with gallons lid we had jugs thrown with gallon cans we had partial pallets of all different containers we spent two days re Organizing Plant A and it paid off it cut our time in half on locating containers we need and it's much easier to work around

3.Learning to Communicate with my team

I wanted to communicate with my team it was my first lead role once I figured everyone in team out I learned there're different ways to approach each individual.

4. Safety I wanted to make sure everyone knew what equipment to wear and when because working in the Filling Department I noticed alot of careless mistakes that could lead to a bigger issue in the future so I would adress them accordingly. Every morning I have a crash course with my team and ask them questions like if your changing a filter what gloves do you wear and if you're closing drum lids make sure you have ear plugs due to exposure to loud noises for long periods of time.

5.Cross training

I wanted each filling team member to have the knowledge to do any task in the Filling Department from washing tanks to filling tankers when I started my role only two out of a team of eight new how to do all jobs within the department now five out of seven are able to preform all task in the Filling Department

Filling operator my responsibilities were to work with my team and fulfill any task requested and ensure proper filter was used for each batch and to ensure a retain was taken for every batch. Also had to maintain my productivity and clean on my down time and work on projects from management
