Safely load, unload, secure, and move heavy pipeline equipment, supplies, and materials using onboard cranes, winches, and rigging gear.
Perform routine maintenance on the deck and marine equipment, including painting, rust removal, washing down decks, and maintaining tools.
Assist the foreman and/or deck officers during complex mooring, anchoring, or dynamic positioning operations necessary to keep the pipeline vessel stable.
Actively participate in mandatory safety meetings, fire drills, and sea survival protocols. Monitor the deck for physical hazards and environmental leaks.
Configure, standardize, and maintain specialized NDT tools and instruments prior to testing.
Conduct testing using authorized methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/FPI), Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
Provide on-the-job instruction, oversight, and direction to trainees and NDT Level I Personnel.
Advise customer on findings and typical actions moving forward pertaining to the condition of unit being tested.
Analyze test data, identify defects (like cracks, corrosion, or structural discontinuities), and make acceptance or rejection decisions based on regulatory codes.
Write formal inspection reports, maintain traceability records, and certify component conformity.
