Under the guidance of Rachel Diegel PA-C performed a variety of procedures in the IR suite including ultrasound guided procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, thyroid FNA, as well as experience preforming fluoroscopic procedures such as arthrograms of the shoulder & hip and lumbar puncture. Obtained pre-operative consent, post-op documenation, and studied indications, contraindications, identification and management of procedural complications.

Under the guidance of Meagan Viel PA-C I gained deeper experience of procedures, clinic duties, pre/post-op encounters, longitudinal surveillance of gynecological oncology. Spent time assisting in the OR and performing pelvic exams, pap-smears, colposcopy, interpreting lab results (tumor markers, pathology, etc.) & imaging, planing longitudinal care, high-risk patient education & appropriate treatment planning.

• Under the guidance of Jennifer Charchan PA-C I gained deeper experience of procedures, clinic duties, pre/post-op encounters, longitudinal surveillance of breast oncology. Spent time assisting in the OR and performing breast exams, punch biopsy, interpreting lab results (tumor markers, pathology, etc.) & imaging, planning longitudinal care, high-risk patient education & appropriate treatment planning.

Under the guidance of Chantelle Koch PA-C I gained deeper experience of inpatient care of oncology patients & post-operative patients. This includes daily rounding, interpretation of frequent lab results, replacement of electrolytes, ordering inpatient medications and procedures, discharge planning and execution, assisting in the OR.

Mainly gained experience with pre/post-op encounters for mastectomy surgical planning, patient education, healing checks, drain management.

Developed further expertise in simple wound repair, differential diagnosis, identification & transport of emergent conditions, XR interpretation, bracing and splinting, injections.

Developed further expertise with, triage, differential diagnosis, simple wound repair, bracing/splinting, paracentesis, identification & treatment of emergent conditions, EKG interpretation, admission gestalt.

Developed further expertise with surgical assisting, surgical closing, inpatient rounding, drain insertion, management, & removal.

Acquired in-depth experience with inpatient management of various complex cases, ordering labs, diagnostic imaging & medications, interpretation of labs, inpatient trends, & diagnostic imaging, synthesis of multiple consulting providers' recommendations, discharge planning.

Developed further expertise with surgical assisting, surgical closing, inpatient rounding, drain insertion, management, & removal.

Developed experience with management of inpatient laboring patients, interpretation and trending tocometry/telemetry of laboring patients, identification & management of emergent conditions, assisting parturition, surgical assisting, surgical closing, inpatient rounding.

Developed further expertise with outpatient care for gynecological conditions, maintenance, as well as family planning, obstetric health, and prenatal care; US & fetal heart doppler experience.

Developed further expertise with outpatient mental health care, medication management, and patient counseling.
